I know I am a little late, but I hope nobody has forgotten the recent attacks in Mumbai. One might ask himself as to how we can forget the barbaric attack. Friend, we are like that. If not for the continuing news coverage I am sure the terror strike would have been in oblivion. Now, what I am trying to say is something different. This is a very personal thought and so please take it that way. Remember that the target was Mumbai and the attack came at a time when the world was facing a financial crisis and India was very less affected by the global syndrome. I remember having read in a daily a few days ago that in another 10 to 15 years India would be one of the super powers. My doubt and concern is whether the attack was the beginning of a war against our development process. If the terror operation had not ended the way it had what would have been the consequences. Just give it a thought.

Yes,what you wrote is true..there might be bigger hidden agendas..Most of the time,the real processes controlling visible mechanisms can never be understood properly.They will be consciously concealed from our eyes..
nice post..

@MIP
Thank you. Fighting terror and related mechanisms is far tougher than fighting the enemy in the battlefield.

Of course yes! This is undoubtedly a proxy war aimed at destabilizing India's economic and security apparatus!

The solution can only be hot-pursuit as is the case adopted by Israel, where terror camps are systematically and regularly dismantled!

One wonders if our political brass has the will & courage to do it!

a lot of people are talking about that. but i hope it isnt true! but India is too strong to be shaken with some gun shots and grenade blasts! we're are gonna fight it n win!

Pooja,
First of all let me thank you for visiting my blog and posting a comment..thanks a lot. As you said India is surely strong and we have overcome more difficult situations.The only question is whether this isn't the best time for us to cut the roots of terrorism.

Mumbai you can say is the financial heart of India. Ofcourse, this attack was not just merely a threat to security but also to create the feeling that it can get you anywhere, anytime, regardless of your class and profession. Also, closely associated with the media industry, I can safely say, not everything you read in papers and news can be taken at the face value...
